Christmas Is over?

Here's something I ponder on and push my team on.

"When do Affiliates stop working on Christmas, when is it too late to send core info to opur partners?"

My personal thinking has always been that our partners need to have all our Christmas info in their hands by the end of October by the latest and after that it's all about re-enforcing that info and building on it.

However this thought process was in part based on the fact that search engines used to be a lot slower to index and update. Are affiliates able to launch into Christmas later now? When is the day when everyone looks at their site and says "Yup it's too late now Christmas is over?"

I'd say that it would all depend on when the Affiliate marketer wants to take his own christmas holidays, and if they prepared in advance.

If you've done all your setup for the xmas shoppers ahead of time, then you can have it all setup and just do some tweaking here and there to maximize your sales, or relax for the holidays with everything automated.

If you haven't setup things ahead of time, then you might be coming up with ideas even at the last minute and trying to implement them. People still buy right up until xmas, and as long as your affiliate merchants have a next day delivery option, then you could literally have a lot of sales due to last minute gift shopping right up until christmas.

One will also have to factor in the people who don't get what they want for christmas, but receive a huge check from grandma. That means that even after christmas, people will be logging onto the net and making all the purchases that they'd been waiting on in case it might have been wrapped up under the tree.

So whether christmas is over or not, the sales will keep coming in.
